Team Builder - Where and How

Illuvium released a Team Builder alongside their latest version of the game. Before you get access to it, you will need to create an Illuvium account. You go to the official site where you will be asked to create an account with a dedicated email address.

Here, you’ll find three basic (Grey) teams that everyone has access to. They feature mostly ranged psion units, Templars and Nature Illuvials. While these teams are easy to play, they are incredibly weak. Playing with them can allow you to get a feel for the game, but you shouldn’t expect to win if you do end up using them!

If you want a team that actually rocks the place, you will have to build one yourself. You can press “create a team” on the left and get started any time you want! When you have created a team, you will be able to log into the game with your Illuvium and synchronize your teams in-game. You can simply choose one of your teams and start the queue!

Building a team is actually quite a big deal and can be very time consuming. But after you have read through this guide, you know exactly what to do, so you can show off your team building skills to others! You can simply share your build whenever you want with the share button. You will obtain a link to your team, and the other person will be able to instantly import that team to their own account. From there, they can immediately play with your team in the PvP arena! It’s that simple!

Illuvium will be your go-to site, as the teams on the site are synchronized with your in-game teams. Other sites outside of Illuvium shouldn’t be ignored, however, as some have built unique features that you can take advantage of. Illuvialmaster.com is one of these sites that created an intuitive teambuilder and even allows you to place down units on an imaginary board. You’ll be able to practice your placement while you map out your strategy for specific rounds!

When you get to the Illuvium for the Team Builder, you may be overwhelmed by the possibilities. There are 843 cards, with 252 unique Illuvials, 87 Augments, 450 Weapons and 54 Suits. It’s a lot to take in for sure. But the team has built a lot of filter features into the builder to allow you to get accustomed to all the aspects rather quickly.

Firstly, at the top you have a search bar. You can enter a single or multiple terms in this bar and it will filter on those words! “Dust Fighter” will filter the entire collection to only Illuvials with the dust affinity and Fighter class. In this case, the dominant Fighter class of Gyro is the only dust Illuvial.

Aside from specifically searching for specific classes or affinities, you can easily press one of the four buttons to filter on Illuvials, Weapons, augments or Suits. And within those, you can still use the search bar for things like: Attack Speed 16. It will filter on anything with the words “attack speed” and 16. In the suits category, you may still find Attack speed + 8 and HP + 160. But it’s close enough.

If you want a specific tier, class or mastery points, simply press the funnel button and three additional options will show up. You can specify exactly what type of asset you are looking for!

Finally, you can also showcase all the search results in specific orders. Do you want A to Z, or Z to A, Low to High cost or Tier based ordering? Anything is possible!

On the right side, you will find your current team with any Illuvial, augment or armament you have chosen. Make sure you keep track of the amount of cards you added to your team, as it can never exceed 28!
