The different Arenas of Illuvium
After building a team in the Team builder, you will be able to join the Arena for real. In the Universe of Illuvium, there are four ways to play the autobattler. In some of the battle modes, your Illuvials will have certain stats that are based on their individual values when they are found in the overworld. This is true for battles in the Overworld and the Leviathan Arena. The game modes that you will play; The Survival and Ascendent Arena, use normalized stats for all the Illuvials to ensure fair gameplay instead.
Survival
The place to train and get comfortable with the game is the Survival Arena. In this Arena, you will fight against an infinite number of waves where the goal is to get as far as you can. A wave consists of a few Illuvials with each wave becoming more and more difficult. The first 10 waves are against roughly 3 or 4 Illuvials, but eventually, you will face an enemy lineup of 12 Illuvials with dozens of augments.
When you start off in the Arena, you will have a mere 150 Mastery points to use on Illuvials, but as you progress, you will gain more. If you perform more sparingly, the game will even award you with more points!
Ascendent
After you have obtained your favourite Illuvials in the Overworld, you are able to use them in the Ascendent or Player vs Player Arena. You will test your skills against players or AI with the same amount of understanding of the game and power as you! The exact details for this gamemode are still under wraps so please check back with us at a later date.
Leviathan
The Leviathan Arena is for all of you whales out there who want to show their might. Illuvials here will all have their own unique stats carried over from the Overworld. Those of you who are used to punching others in the face with a stack of bills may especially find this place attractive as this is exactly that! A place for you to fight with all of your might.
Overworld
After you have gotten familiar with the mechanics of the game, you can find Illuvials in the overworld. These Illuvials are all different with some Illuvials showing significantly more power than others of the same type. When you enter a battle, you will have to be prepared to face a select amount of Illuvials and fight them as efficiently as possible.
