<h2><strong>Overworld</strong></h2><p>The overworld will be expanded from having the main hub and a single region to explore, to having three separate regions. While the regions each have a similar size, their feeling will vastly differ from one another. The Crimson waste that we’ve previously explored was always going to be the destroyed wasteland that retained little to no life. The heat and harmful substances were never meant to house any living beings. The fact that there are growing and living shocking luminescent hazelnuts is astonishing on its own.</p><p>The two newly discovered regions on the other hand create a much more habitable environment for plants and other organisms. The Abyssal Basin, that lies on the south of the second continent of Illuvium, makes up a dense rainforest with a humid and tropical atmosphere. A dense mangrove forest grows in the north side of the basin, while to the south, large mushrooms rise up from the boggy floor carrying the sediments on their caps. This will be taken care of in a future update. This second overworld version won't have plants that can harm you yet, nor challenges that have to be overcome with witts and skills. The only threat in the Brightland Steppes is the abyss. The Brightland Steppes are held up by tentacles that have an unknown origin. The only thing we know is that whatever is down there likes to eat... &nbsp;Anything. Players will be able to glide, slide and see a bunch of other improvements to the character movements. While the Crimson waste doesn’t seem to have a unique movement mechanic implemented, the Brightland Steppes will allow you to be transported by particularly powerful bubbles, while the Abyssal Basin features lilly pads that allow you to travel downstream. Luckily, movement is not the only area where improvements will be visible.</p><h2><strong>Battling gameplay</strong></h2><p>The encounter gameplay where you battle other Illuvials before you can capture them will also gain a new dimension to it. The previous Illuvial count of 151 will likely be raised to the full 205 that we will see for the full release of the game. This means, more diversity, more difficulties and more collectability!&nbsp;</p><p>One of the more difficult mechanics may be found in Geyyser, as he is a tank that does absolutely nothing in the beginning of a fight. It just sits there until it charges up enough energy to launch its Omega Ability. What will happen when it unleashes its ability? What has been leaked is that it will most definitely be showy, powerful and impactful! There have been some shared clips of Geyyser summoning an entire rainbow, with water pouring down on all the units of the battleboard. Will the water deal damage? Let’s speculate!</h3><p>Obviously we are all excited to get in on the fun. We wish we could give you a specific time for this to happen, but sadly we don’t have the authority to do so. The only thing we know is that it is coming soon. To give you an estimate of what “soon” means we can tell you that: The team has stated that they almost finished all of the Illuvials back in March, and that they only needed to finish less than 10 to finish the entirety of the first Set.&nbsp;</p><p>The team has shown with this statement that the final product is getting there and that they are in the final dreggs to finish up all the Illuvials. In previous showcases since January, the Abyssal Basin seems to only have been getting some small improvements, such as sparkles falling from the trees or some set-dressing. This gets our hopes up that the new region will likely be opened up to the public relatively fast!</p><p>The Brightland Steppes is the only region that has been shown to lack in luster. None of the plants were added to the region and the bubble trails will require quite some work to show off their uniqueness. If the team decides to work on this region as extensively as the Abyssal Basin, we think it may take another 3 months before it is as close to the other two regions…</p><p>What and when exactly the new version will come out will therefore remain to be seen. But we are convinced that we are in the perfect season for it. <h2>Public roadmap and financial reports</h2><p>Kieran in his Discord posts today shared that Illuvium team will share a public roadmap this week because that's what the community wants. Additionally to that, the financial team is working on a report to accompany the further increase transparency.</p><p>There was a lot of concerns in the community last couple of weeks about the lack of roadmap and lack of transparency of financial reports. This will hopefully put that concerns to rest. And with Gov V2 coming soon. <h3><strong>The Bulldogs x Illuvium’s partnership is renewed this year!</strong></h3><p>With a new season of the NRL comes another time to shine for the Bulldogs! Illuvium, or rather, Kieran has taken it upon himself to renew the partnership between Illuvium and the Bulldogs, as they once again design a football shirt that the rugby players will wear during the NRL.&nbsp;</p><p>Previously, the Bulldogs partnered with legends such as Avatar and Star wars to make incredible designs, and Illuvium has now been granted a second opportunity to do just that as they are present on the jersey.</p><p><Image src="https://storage.googleapis.com/illuvihub-c82a4.appspot.com/Image/Site_shirt_2bcff9ded6/Site_shirt_2bcff9ded6.png" alt="Site shirt.png" width="auto" height="auto" /></p><p>Illuvium fans may wonder why Illuvium would renew their partnership with the Bulldogs, as the runway for the project has been a hot topic. They may pull some talent from the team to make the shirt, but this can be seen as a side project as it’s just a single Jersey design.</p><p>Making a Jersey for the Bulldogs is a fast and easy way to market Illuvium’s brand to millions of viewers. This is incredibly important for Illuvium, as the web-3 space is very unattractive to outsiders and currently mostly caters to a small subgroup of investors. <h2><strong>Illuvium Beyond Two weeks in!</strong></h2><p>After an exciting first week of Illuvitar D1sk openings, the Illuvium community has slowly calmed down. This can be seen in the trading volume of D1sks and Illuvitars together. Additionally, the amount of D1sks that have been opened has slowly been dwindling as well. The amount of Illuvitars on the market have grown so much that the demand could not keep up with the supply. The community is now feeling the inflation of portraits and accessories creep into the system. The lack of use for them significantly reduces the amount of Illuvitars that are actively being collected. The demand will likely stay low until the team releases additional content such as rewards, perks or the leaderboard. Rewards and Perks are likely going to only affect your in-game profile, and since the open beta is not released yet, this will likely take a while. The leaderboard on the other hand will be released on Friday the 24th of March.</p><p>The leaderboard of Illuvium is very simply just a nice way to brag about your collection. It provides you with a cool badge and a rank that makes your PFP look cooler. There are no rewards gained from having a certain rank on the leaderboard yet, but showing off your collection is something that anyone enjoys!</p>

<h2><strong>Mozart Chip Forging</strong></h2><p>Forging is a key feature within the Illuvium Overworld. The weapons and armours that you use to fight Illuvials can be constructed here, as well as Mozart upgrades that increase your expedition efficiency. In the first iteration of the overworld, forging is not as intuitive as we may like. For this reason we will go over Mozart upgrade forging as an example for you to become familiar with the system.</p><h3><strong>Who is Mozart?</strong></h3><p>Mozart is your buddy drone that accompanies you on your expeditions. He helps your ranger to scan and extract materials from the overworld and even stabilizes the dimensions that you fight Illuvials in. Because of this, Mozart is a critical figure during your expeditions and should be equipped with the best upgrades.</p><h3><strong>Upgrades for Mozart?</strong></h3><p>Mozart is able to have three additional chips that increase the efficiency of your runs. The chips that upgrade Mozart have effects ranging from increasing the accuracy of the Heat Map to a higher capturing power among others. In this image above, you can see that each chip has a different tier, ranging from three, to zero back to four and then five for the last chip. The tier determines the chip’s rarity and usually also heavily influences the use-case of the upgrade. A low tier’s effect may give you a higher detection range on the environmental scanner that regular players tend not to use. Instead, the scanning power may give you a more accurate idea of the contents of a rock or singularity.</p><h3><strong>Tier-based materials</strong></h3><p>If you have taken into account the tier of the chip, you may save yourself a lot of resources because you have to deconstruct some equipment to make a higher stage of the same equipment. When choosing which chip you want to deconstruct, you have to take appropriate care of the required resources. <h2>Alpha Illuvitars</h2><p>One of the first leaks in this showcase was new Alpha Illuvitars Concept art. There is a draft for an IIP with the main goal of "<i>Visual distinction between Alpha and Unlimited Illuvitars</i>" that was first written by Scoot. Since then there was a lot of talks and ideas on how to best implement that distinction. In Showcase they showed only one <i>Work in Progress</i> idea. But Dmitriy said that as soon as there will be more options they will present them to the community so we can choose the best option to go with. We have full trust in design team of Illuvium so we have no doubt it will look really good in the end.</p><h2>Improved Wingsuit</h2><p>Next leak was the new improved Wingsuit. As Andrew said: "<i>When you go up in to a high location in any of our regions in the Overworld, in order to better traverse the overworld and not just fall down awkwardly, you can open the Wingsuit and fly about the level</i>." Chamma can mimic Class and Affinity of character it's closest to at the start of combat. We still don't know all the details of how will they work. But it will be interesting to see how are they implemented.</p><h2>Other Leaks</h2><p>There was a lot of other little leaks like Illuvials NFT work, Illuvials attacks and omega animations, new interactive plant physics, more Mozart skins, eyes, new Red Panda line leaks and so much more.
